Common questions
How long does setup take?
Foundation services like profile setup take 1–3 days. Bot setup is 2–4 weeks depending on tier — Week 1 discovery, Week 2 build, Week 3 test, Week 4 launch and tune.
Do I need to switch off my existing WhatsApp number?
You need to remove your number from the personal WhatsApp app before connecting it to the Business API. Your chat history won’t transfer over — but we coordinate the cutover so you don’t lose customer continuity.
What happens if the bot can’t answer a question?
It politely tells the customer "let me check with the team" and routes to your designated agent number. You see every escalation in the SafeNet admin dashboard.
Can the bot speak Sinhala and Tamil from day one?
Yes. Every Growth-tier or higher bot auto-detects language per message (Sinhala, Tamil, English) and replies in the same script. Roman-script "Singlish" / "Tanglish" is also handled.
How does Meta pricing work? What will I actually pay?
Meta charges per conversation: ~LKR 28 for marketing, ~LKR 8 for utility, currently free for service (customer-initiated). Most SMEs see LKR 5,000–25,000 / month in Meta fees on top of SafeNet’s retainer. We forecast and monitor this for you.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly retainers are month-to-month with 30-day notice. We export your full conversation history and KB on request — no lock-in.
Do you offer payment plans for setup fees?
Yes — typically 50% to start, 50% on go-live for setups above LKR 50,000. Larger Enterprise / Vertical Premium engagements can be billed across project milestones.
Will my data be safe? Where is it stored?
All conversations live in your own Firebase project (Google Cloud), region-locked to us-central1 by default — switchable to asia-south1 (Mumbai) on request. Access is restricted to the email allow-list you configure. We sign a data processing agreement with healthcare and legal clients.
